Some have even become household names, which just goes to show that women are perfectly capable and willing to do what men are doing. These women race because they enjoy it and love the thrill that comes with it, but at the same time, they are raising the bar for women in sports.Mallory Cliffordhttp://heather-williams.com/female_race_car_drivers_news.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1229989495475212205.post-40345631422418363742012-09-10T09:57:44.053-04:002012-09-10T09:57:44.053-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Marko Zekohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13537727693984802897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1229989495475212205.post-33108593154034622042012-09-10T09:56:29.494-04:002012-09-10T09:56:29.494-04:00Hi!

I think one of Heidfeld's problems is his lack of charisma. Probably not what a team sponsor is looking for to promote their brand. I suppose a reserve drive at Mercedes will stay pay better than a DTM drive plus you never know, if Schumacher has a reccurence of his neck problem, Heidfeld could get his chance.

GlenLights 2 Flaghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14383019714425986128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1229989495475212205.post-31086167664781734242010-01-16T10:46:53.040-05:002010-01-16T10:46:53.040-05:00Interesting post.

Also Williams started a charitable foundation in Angola some time ago. Then there seem to be more or less constant charity auctions and events during F1 weekends.

When it comes to drivers' charity, some examples that I can remember include Felipe Massa's charitable karting event in Brazil, Mark Webber's participation in the multi-sport charity event (where he broke his leg), Kimi Räikkönen's work with the SOS Children's Villages-organization and Heikki Kovalainen's annual charitable karting event in his hometown. Then there is Jenson Button who supports the Make-a-Wish foundation and has participated in a charity triathlon event, and I am sure that there are many more examples.

I also remember the people "around" F1 - Ecclestone, Mosley, etc. - doing something for charitable causes; donations, charity events, etc.ChiliNhttp://f1db.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1229989495475212205.post-36542481842508549602010-01-15T18:38:16.694-05:002010-01-15T18:38:16.694-05:00Well that is what I think is different about Sato ...Well that is what I think is different about Sato now.
